"Hi Ken - Just a quick note to say you do make superb solar filters.

We have had sun scopes single and double stacked brought from other makers for some years. We brought one of your double stacked SV-60 telescopes last year and were amazed at the difference. For a start it was noticeable how much can be seen on the sun using it simply single stacked. Add the double stack unit and things go to a whole new level! The detail is there right across the whole field - in fact there is so much detail that to take it all in really takes a good time. Around the edge of the sun the dark sky shows the flares - even wispy ones - up well. The bottom line of this is that the whole Solarscope SV-60 package and your personal attention to customer needs is real quality.

We were so happy with the Solarview 60 telescope that we then ordered a double stacked SF-60 filter system to fit our Tele Vue Pronto. Having now tried that out the workmanship and the filters performance is equal to the SV-60 system. Comparing prices, your stuff might seem expensive but having had various sun scopes it is worth it. You simply cannot get this quality on the cheap. And once you look though a Solarscope you want nothing less if you can afford it. Our only downside with owning this kit is the fear of dropping something lest it break! We do not want to test how tough the product is the hard way! That said we are very happy with our Solarscopes!"

"Dear Ken, I have received the items and they are indeed what so many have described, very well made filters and the telescope adapter plates are also extremely well made. I have been having a great time using the SF70! Many thanks."

"Hi Ken - I bought a Solarview 50 telescope from Venturescope in April 2007, it is fantastic and I use it far more than any of my other scopes."

"Hi, Ken - In June 2005 while on holiday in Hampshire I bought a Solarscope Solarview 50 dedicated telescope from Ninian Boyle at Venturescope and never regretted the purchase. I have a look through it most sunny days and always enjoy the view, even during this Solar minimum. Congratulations on producing an excellent instrument."

"I own both the 50mm double stack and 70mm double stacked SolarScope filters. They have been a pleasure to use. They provide very sharp images with even illumination across the field. People drool over them when they look thru them. Mechanically, they are also superb. They were spot on when I received them several years ago and remain so today. If you take the price of the filters and divide them by the number of hours I have used them, they are some of the least expensive instruments I own. I have been dealing with Ken for several years and his honesty and customer service is top notch. I was one of Ken`s early customers in the United States and am still very proud of and satisfied with my SolarScope H-alpha filters."

"I just wanted to take a moment to congratulate you on the production of an absolutely superb product. I purchased a 60mm Solarscope filter from Oceanside Photo & Telescope and took delivery of it shortly after the NEAF show. The quality of the manufacturing is excellent and the views provided are, to say the least, superb. The images are bright and provide excellent views of the surface and chromosphere. This past Saturday, everyone at the Orange County Astronomer's site in Anza enjoyed the views. I have adapter plates for both my Televue 102mm and William Optics Megrez 80mm telescopes - providing me with some nice, quick set up options. The filter was worth every penny that I spent. Thanks for making such a quality instrument."

I wanted to drop you a line and tell you that I’m so happy with my SF-60 that I purchased from OPT earlier this year. It’s just incredible compared to my Coronado SM-60. Your filter system mounted on my TV102 is just amazing.

I was able to spend a little time today using my new filter until the clouds rolled in. I'm very happy with my purchase!!!! You did a great job!!!! Thanks.

Hi Ninian, Having bought my Solarview 50 dedicated telescope from Venturescope on Saturday at the February 2003 Astrofest, I was watching the skies yesterday waiting for the promised "sunny intervals in the Midlands" in the afternoon. Then, at around 3.15 pm, there were those blue gaps between the clouds, and I was able to rush the scope outside! Once I'd got it sorted, I probably only had half an hour or so of viewing in between the clouds before the Sun disappeared behind the houses opposite, but I really was amazed at just how much you could see. So much detail visible in some beautiful prominences, which were just the highlights. Please pass on my best wishes to Ken.

Hi Ken, We thought that we should let you know that we think that the SF-70 filter is a gem. As Ninian may have mentioned, when we went along to try it out we took our Coronado 60 along intending to carry out a side by side test. However, as soon as we viewed through the SF-70 we could tell immediately that a direct comparison was not necessary as the SF-70 had obviously superior resolution and contrast. In addition the blackness of the background surrounding the solar disk was a marked difference to the pinkish glow of the Coronado 60. The decision to buy it took only an instant. A few days later we compared the SF-70 with a friend's Coronado 60, this one a later model than our Coronado 60. Again the same conclusion. We are pleasantly surprised that the SF-70 has such high contrast and resolution and can stand magnification when homing in on detail. We did not expect such a difference between the Coronado 60 and the SF-70.
